Identità Golose will have an important role in the rich programme, thanks to the "Identità Golose Future" events

It’s a hot and important Tuesday morning, today, as the directors of Host get to the first floor of Identità Expo S.Pellegrino to present to a numerous audience the 39th edition of the Fair dedicated to professional hospitality, a world leader in the Ho.Re.Ca. industry.

What will happen exactly in Rho, from Friday 23rd till Tuesday 27th October 2015, as Expo is about to end, in nearby Fieramilano? 1,900 exhibitors, 40% of which from abroad (a record) will be at work and analysed by 135K visitors. A concentrate of lifestyle and technologies, new restaurant creative formats spread over 14 pavilions and 3 macro-areas: professional restaurants with bread-pasta-pizza; coffee-tea with Sic (Salone internazionale del caffè), bar-coffee machines, vending machines and ice cream and pastry making; furnishing and tableware.

On top of that, there will be a multitude of events with important protagonists. We at Identità will give our point of view with “Identità Golose Future”, «A project», said Paolo Marchi at the end of the conference «which more than on recipes and tastes per se focuses on technologies and how they influence evolution and the future. We want to bring a new object and have it explained to us: machines can represent a turning point». Most of all, «there will be a strong intention to unite technologies with nature and taste. All this, always in coherence with the Identità Golose philosophy, focusing on men: that is to say the chefs».

[[ ima2 ]]«Our country has a great industrial sector and a long tradition in exhibitions», said Riccardo Monti, president of Ice, the Italian Trade Agency when opening his speech «this is why we need to show what we can do, at home. And the restaurant industry is a sector in which we can succeed. Just think that in China, every 3 French restaurants there are 7 Italian ones».

Alberto Caprari, president of Anima, the federation of mechanic industry, added an important concept: «We’re very famous in the world thanks to our food. If you want to eat well and be healthy, everyone knows that you cannot make a mistake with Italian food. However, in order to do so, you also need excellent technology. Host is essential in that it brings buyers to us and allows them to test in person the solutions we are capable of».

For Corrado Peraboni, general manager of FieraMilano: «What with exhibitors and visitors, every single country is represented at Host. We have a widespread presence in international markets. And with a series of internationalisation activities such as Host we will prove that our market will not do with being second, behind German exhibitions».

[[ ima3 ]]The end was dedicated to an important market research conducted by Angela Borghi of Trade-lab: «Food consumption in Italy reaches 223 billion euros, 32% of which is dedicated to non-domestic consumption, a significant and growing flux: we’re the third market in Europe and have large space to improve. Most of all, the restaurant formats are changing, offering unusual models and experiences with food». We’ll find out much more at the end of October.
