Every week “Italian & International Best Chefs” presents a special event: the chef livening up the kitchen of Identità Expo from Wednesdays till Sundays will play in a duet with a foreign chef, creating a truly unique meeting of different styles. Emanuele Scarello, of restaurant Agli Amici in Udine, will sign a special menu with Mauro Colagreco, born in Argentina, originally from Italy and now at work in France, where he conquered lots of praise with his Mirazur in Mentone. Born in 1970, Scarello comes from a family that started to run the restaurant in 1887, a story, therefore, that goes across 3 centuries and 5 generations. However, he took the decision of transforming the nature of Agli Amici from a simple restaurant for banqueting into one of the most illustrious gourmet restaurants in Italy. «It was hard at first. We lost the clients who wanted our usual food», but then the praise of critics and public arrived, and a Michelin star in 1999. His cuisine focuses on ingredients and raw materials that are never too far from Friuli’s basin: «Who cares about crayfish and lobster if I can get this turbot from the Adriatic sea?». How can we blame him?

Fine dining at Expo 2015 goes under the brand of Identità Golose thanks to Identità Expo, the event – created in collaboration with S. Pellegrino – which for six months will summon great Italian and international chefs to Milan for a unique, extremely elegant temporary restaurant. There will also be lessons, cooking shows, meetings, demonstrations... All this animating a rich programme of events (soon online), the result of the organisational effort and prestige of Identità Golose.
