Identità Golose asked 70 among the most important fine-dining chefs in Italy to select the best 70 new restaurants and managements that debuted between January 2017 and March 2018: this is the premise for the first edition of TheFork Restaurants Awards - New Openings. TheFork’s users will vote these 70 restaurant and on the 28th May, during a gala dinner in Milan, the most voted establishment will be announced 

On Monday 9th of April, a new and important project created by TheFork and Identità Golose was launched, namely TheFork Restaurants Awards - New Openings. As of last Monday, every detail and info on how to participate can be found on www.theforkrestaurantsawards.it

So what is TheFork Restaurants Awards - New Openings about? It’s an ambitious project that aims to give value to new talents in the Italian restaurant scene: not a contest, but a chance to have the public understand the richness and vitality of our gastronomic resources. Authoritativeness, quality and innovation: these are the features of an original and unprecedented project in Italy.

Seventy among the most prominent Italian fine-dining chefs, chosen by Identità Golose, selected the most promising new openings and managements launched between January 2017 and March 2018. The result was a list of 70 new establishments. Now people have the chance to evaluate this choice: TheFork’s users are asked to vote their favourite ones. The first 10 will participate in a gala dinner on the 28th May in Milan, when the name of the most voted restaurant will be announced.

Indeed, they were recommended by a jury of the highest quality, including the best Italian fine-dining chefs, summoned by Identità Golose. Paolo Marchi, the creator of Identità Golose and his partner from the start, adds: «We’re very proud of this project, because we will be the first to give importance to new high quality restaurants in Italy, and in doing so we will anticipate the light that will shine on them when success will come». This, in coherence with the philosophy of Identità Golose, which has always focused on giving value to emerging talents in the Italian restaurant scene.

This extremely competent jury was made possible by the work Identità Golose had done over the past 14 years, thanks to which it has become a point of reference in Italian fine-dining. 

As you all know, TheFork is the platform where you can discover and book the restaurants in all of Europe. Created in France in 2007 by hospitality and technology experts, TheFork revolutionised the restaurant market by creating a direct contact between patrons and users. And in this case TheFork’s users are asked to assess the 70 recommended new restaurants in the first edition of TheFork Restaurants Awards - New Openings.

On Monday 9th April, the names of the 70 restaurants selected by the participating Top Chef were disclosed on www.theforkrestaurantsawards.it. Each establishment has a dedicated page presenting the restaurant and the reason behind its recommendation. From that page you can vote the restaurant: only votes made by those who booked a table between the May 1st 2017 and May 1st 2018 through TheFork will be considered.

Each voter can give one vote only: in the case of multiple votes, only the last vote given with the same address will be considered. Take part in TheFork Restaurants Awards - New Openings!
