There’s lots of talking about this cascina (farmstead) with a wood oven and natural wines in Rognano, halfway between Milan and Pavia. When you first arrive, you see right in front of view a family saga and a life choice of which the vegetable garden and the geese in the courtyard are the most visible emblems. The Ricciardellas present a delicious Risotto with pumpkin, gorgonzola and liquorice. But there’s more, because Cascina Vittoria is also the asylum for a great classic and authentic cuisine, especially with regards to main courses: take the mixed Bollito boiled twice or the Beef Wellington, one of the best ever tasted.
