Since the earthquake in 2012, the D’Amatos have been living in the city, moving their headquarters to downtown Reggio Emilia. There were many rumors, some said that Gianni would prefer simpler, regional recipes. But diamonds never lose their value, and indeed, after a walk through an enchanting garden, you’ll find that Caffè Arte e Mestieri has kept its old flair. Great Pumpkin tortelli, where a thinner-than-paper pasta layer wraps a runny filling that bursts in your mouth, releasing a distilled, sophisticated version of a regional memory.
