Years go by, yet I Sette Consoli are always there, a safe port. Mauro Stopponi and Anna Rita Simoncini are not tired, who knows if they’ll ever be.
The food is sumptuous, elegant and authentic, technically perfect, in some cases unforgettable in terms of flavours: Tuna belly, Purgatorio beans and red onion; Spaghetti garlic, oil, chilli pepper, cod tripe and cream of fresh shallot; Medium cooked rump steak, with crunchy vegetables and Marsala sauce; the marvellous Pigeon with cherries. The wine list is one of the many reasons why it’s worth a visit.
