The first surprise comes from finding seafood cuisine in the mountains on the border between Austria, Slovenia and Italy. Chef Ilija Pejic has made himself known thanks to his surprising interpretative skills. He’s travelled around the world mixing culinary cultures, starting from some Croatian dishes.
Indeed, he was born in Croatia, but then worked in Slovenia and finally arrived on the edge of the golf course in Tarvisio. Here the fish arrives daily, mostly from the north Adriatic Sea, especially the Gulf of Trieste, and this is the restaurant’s strongpoint.
