Al Fogher

Almost at the exact center of Sicily, set between huge patches of woodlands, Piazza Armerina, with its important archaeological heritage, is one of the most visited cities of art in the island. Since 1992, Al Fogher is its gourmet social gathering. Chef Angelo Treno’s offer is sharp, direct and never trivial. Sometimes it’s a blend between Italy and Japan; sometimes, more intriguingly, it’s the result of a new take on regional tradition, enhanced by the quality of its prime local ingredients. To try: the excellent Linguine with tuna bottarga, lavender flowers and lemon zest.
