Michele Alesiani is a textbook host. He’s always been one, if we go back in time to the Osteria dell’Arancio in Grottammare Alta. For the last 4 years, that easy-going but highly professional attitude has sprung back to life in a little jewel set in the upper part of Cupra Marittima, the ancient hamlet of Cupra Alta. The concept is fascinating: an extra 28€ for a series of five small starters, cold cuts included, two first-course tastings, one second course of choice, desserts, cuddles and sweets. All of it served in a structure ripped from the rocks and historical buildings.
