Domenico Schingaro, known by everyone as Domingo, was born in 1980 in Bari, where he attends the local catering school. In 1999 he arrives in London at the Grosvenor House le Meridien and, after some more experience in Europe, he returns to Italy and joins the kitchen team of historic restaurant Antico Buoi Rossi in Alessandria.
In 2014 he starts working with Andrea Ribaldone and stays when under the new management the restaurant becomes I Due Buoi and conquers a Michelin star in 2015. That same year, he’s resident chef with Ribaldone at Expo Milano, in the Identità Expo San Pellegrino restaurant, in collaboration with Identità Golose-Magenta Bureau. In January 2016 he becomes the executive chef at Borgo Egnazia, where he coordinates the entire restaurant offer under the direction of Ribaldone and curates the gourmet offer of restaurant Due Camini, which conquered its deserved Michelin star in November 2018.
