A renowned Peruvian chef, Diego Muñoz of the restaurant Astrid & Gaston in Lima (ranking 14 in the world according to the 50 Best) is the protagonist this week of Italian & International Best Chefs as well as of the lecture open to the public at 4.00 pm today always in the building of Identità Expo.
Muñoz is the successor of Gaston Acurio. In 2012, after 15 years spent in some of the best haute cuisine restaurants in the world (in Spain, France, Canada and Australia. Among others also at El Bulli, Mugaritz and Bilson's), the chef returned to his Peru where he has updated the cooking of the already successful Acurio’s restaurant. He continues the effort of his predecessor in the search for Peruvian biodiversity.
Fine dining at Expo 2015 goes under the brand of Identità Golose thanks to Identità Expo, the event – created in collaboration with S. Pellegrino – which for six months will summon great Italian and international chefs to Milan for a unique, extremely elegant temporary restaurant. There will also be lessons, cooking shows, meetings, demonstrations... All this animating a rich programme of events (soon online), the result of the organisational effort and prestige of Identità Golose.
