Marianna Vitale is today’s protagonist for dinner at Identità Expo. In fact, on Mondays and Tuesdays night extraordinary Italian chefs are the key players of the section Contemporary Italian Chef. The stage is therefore devoted to Vitale, now solidly leading her restaurant Sud in Quarto (Na). Born in Naples in 1980 she works in the kitchen of Palazzo Petrucci with Lino Scarallo in 2008. In May 2009 she opened the restaurant Sud, a stone’s throw away from Pozzuoli, together with Pino Esposito a good sommelier and her husband. In November 2011 she earned her first star. Hardly anyone treats sea tastes as she does. However, her meaty bit is pasta. The price per person is 75 euros including beverage.
Fine dining at Expo 2015 goes under the brand of Identità Golose thanks to Identità Expo, the event – created in collaboration with S. Pellegrino – which for six months will summon great Italian and international chefs to Milan for a unique, extremely elegant temporary restaurant. There will also be lessons, cooking shows, meetings, demonstrations... All this animating a rich programme of events (soon online), the result of the organisational effort and prestige of Identità Golose.
