Roma FOOD&WINE Festival 2013

From May 17th to the 19th: great wines and great chefs for a truly gourmet event

Following the first two sensational editions in Milan, the FOOD&WINE Festival now lands in Rome to occupy the top floor of Eataly. This will be a mouth-watering three-day event in the name of quality food and wine: over 50 of the most prestigious wine producers are expected to arrive in Rome from all over Italy, to be joined by 20 great chefs.

The wineries taking part have been selected by Helmuth Köcher, President and founder of the Merano WineFestival event which has brought together the best expressions of Italian and international wine for over 20 years. The chefs have been invited by Paolo Marchi, concept designer and founder of Identità Golose, the International congress of signature cuisine and patisserie, which stands as a benchmark for enthusiasts and professionals all over the world since 2005. Eataly, the only possible Roman partner for such an event, offers its most spectacular venue: over 17,000 sq m dedicated to Italian flavours and excellence.

From Friday 17 to Sunday 19 May, the chefs will take turns to prepare and explain their dishes while the wine producers will be on hand to enable the public to taste their most representative products, and to make an
imaginary journey from South Tyrol to Sicily. The objective is to offer enthusiasts an opportunity to taste the best of two worlds that go hand in hand, all on the same location, great signature cuisine and dozens of the most interesting Italian wines. Eataly, Identità Golose and the Merano WineFestival invite you to get to know and taste the best.
