Arianna Consiglio

Arianna Consiglio was born in Catania in 1996: after attending the liceo scientifico, she enrolled at ALMA, in Colorno. «After graduating from high school – she says – I wanted to test myself in the job market with something more concrete than my studies. I initially attended the foundation course, lasting two months, to learn the basics and acquire some restaurant experience. These first jobs confirmed that this was the right road for me: I loved the adrenaline of the service, the rhythm of the restaurant, the full commitment. So I returned to ALMA to attend the Corso Superiore».

In her training, she considers as important both her experience in restaurants and hotels that catered for large numbers of guests («that's where I formed my character and learnt to work hard to serve 200 people»), both her work in starred restaurants. After graduating from ALMA she arrives at Guido da Costigliole, with Luca Zecchin and the Alciati family, and then at Contraste. «Meeting Matias Perdomo and Simon Press was crucial: I felt they made an investment of trust with me that gave me lots of satisfaction». 

Later she had the opportunity to join the 3-star brigade at Piazza Duomo, in Alba, with Enrico Crippa. But she only stayed for a short time. Not because something went wrong, but because Perdomo and Press called her to hand her the kitchen of the new establishment dedicated to celebrating pasta: Exit Pastificio Urbano. «I chose to grow professionally by taking this challenge and running a kitchen by myself, knowing that Matias and Simon know my skill and determination. I'm still very young and I've got much to learn: one step at a time, with clear ideas on the results I want to reach».
