Marco Bizzarri
Marco Bizzarri (1962) is president and CEO at Gucci since January 2015.
Born in Rubiera (Reggio Emilia), after graduating in Economics he started his career in Accenture (the then Arthur Andersen); seven years later he arrived in Mandarina Duck where he was soon promoted to CEO; in 2005 he was nominated CEO of Stella McCartney.
In 2008 he moved to directing Bottega Veneta. In 2014 François Henri Pinault nominated Bizzarri CEO of the new division of Kering called “Couture and Leather Goods”. Only eight months later Pinault gave Bizzarri the direction of Gucci, as president and CEO.
Under the direction of Bizzarri the Gucci brand became a point of reference for the luxury industry: from 2015 to 2021, the company moved from 11K to over 20K employees and in the same time revenues increased from 3'898 to 9'731 billion euros.
From the friendship between Marco Bizzarri and Massimo Bottura in 2018 Gucci Osteria was born, a line of restaurant serving Italian contemporary cuisine, following a culinary philosophy that matches creativity and elegance, in constant harmony with the seasons from which it always draws inspiration.
A food lover, Bizzarri conveys this passion also in the family: his son Stefano, with his partner Allegra, recently relaunched restaurant Dalla Gioconda in Gabicce Monte, while his wife Maristella manages Osteria del Viandante, in Rubiera.
