Monday 22nd April 2024: the 17th edition of the Identità Golose Restaurant Guide to Italy, Europe and the World is online. It’s the eighth entirely online, free and open to all. At the time of writing, there are 1,070 restaurants reviewed, in addition to the 655 recommended pizzerias and cocktail bars, included in a guide of their own since a few weeks ago. In total, 1,727 reviews.
Of this year's 1,070 restaurants, 862 are Italian and 208 from 43 countries in Europe and the World, from Austria to Ecuador, from Norway to Senegal. There are 15 ice cream parlours in 2024 (almost all of which are curated by Silvia Cittadini) of which 6 are new. The establishments run by chefs under 30 and 40 years of age are 580, just over half of the total number of reviews. a number we are very keen on.
On Monday morning, in the Auditorium, we awarded 18 prizes to the 2024 Young Stars, 'young' because, as per tradition, they are all under 40 years of age. These are all the awards in detail:

The authors of the Storie di Gola 2024
As always, in addition to the reviews, there are the
Storie di Gola, this year signed by young food writers from Italy and around the world. These are the five stories of 2024:
Milano controcorrente: 7 insegne per spendere del buon tempo by
Barbara Marzano
Rinnovamento a Venezia: 9 indirizzi da non perdere by
Giulia Zampieri
Roma nei confini dell’Appio-Latino: 13 indirizzi tra perimetro e sostanza by
Andrea Martina Di Lena
Tokyo, 11 magici antidoti al dinamismo by
Julia Rönnqvist Buzzetti
Il boom di Città del Messico: 11 tavole preferite dai locali by
Francisco Rangel Trujillo
The closing is to remind you that the total number of establishments in the 2024 Guide is well over 1,070 because almost every review includes a 'chef recommends', with their favourite place, so that in fact the establishments double. A portrait we have tried to make ever more faithful thanks to the work of our
77 authors from Italy and abroad. We thank them all and welcome the debut, this year, of Francesca Feresin, Filippo L'Astorina, Leonardo Laudisa, Giorgio Minestrini.
A huge thanks to Cinzia Benzi, Elia Bogani, Mariella Caruso, Annalisa Cavaleri, Marta Gramaglia, Federica Lisi and Filippo Sacchi for all the invisible work they did for so many months behind the scenes.
Happy hunting.
