Laura e Agung Prabowo

A couple in life and in business, Laura and Agung Prabowo have become key figures in Asian mixology, thanks to their innovative and successful bar concepts.

Agung boasts a 20-year career filled with competition victories across Asia and beyond, as well as experience in renowned establishments such as The Island Shangri-La, the Oriental Bar at Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, and Woo Bar at W Hotel Hong Kong. His journey as an entrepreneur began in 2017 with the opening of The Old Man in Hong Kong, followed by a second location in Singapore two years later. The bar and brand quickly rose to the top of international rankings, solidifying its reputation in the industry.

In 2020, alongside his wife Laura, Agung launched a new project: Penicillin Bar. With this venture, they introduced a new vision of mixology, based on the farm-to-table concept while also incorporating sustainability principles, which were traditionally more associated with the culinary world.

Penicillin represents a new way of experiencing a cocktail bar, blending innovation, creativity, and a strong focus on hospitality. In 2023, the entrepreneurial duo unveiled another bold concept: Lockdown Bar. Inspired by the Covid era, it redefines the speakeasy and secret bar experience, pushing the boundaries of cocktail culture even further.
