Credits Brambilla-Serrani

University professor, cultural and management consultant  for national and international institutions, artistic director and curator, Davide Rampello started his career in RAI in the Seventies as a history researcher, author and later director of cultural programmes as well as TV director.

Between 1992 and 1994 he was the artistic director of the Carnevale di Venezia, and during the Nineties he curated important exhibitions in many locations, such as the Biennale and the Galleria dell'Accademia in Venice, or Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara. From 2002 to 2003 he was responsible for the communication, image promotion and the cultural events of the Teatro Massimo di Palermo and (until 2006) he was the artistic director for the Comune di Palermo.

During his academic career he was Professor of Theories and Techniques of Image Promotion at the faculty of Literature and Philosophy of the University of Padua between 1999 and 2004 and at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore between 2004 and 2006. From 2004 to 2013 he held university courses on image promotion and cultural artistic events at IULM in Milan. 

He’s been the president of the Triennale di Milano from 2003 to 2012, almost ten years during which he relaunched and renewed the image and the activity of this Milanese institution on a global scale. In 2010 he curated the Italian Pavilion at the World Fair of Shanghai – the theme was "The city of man, living the Italian way" and in 2011 he curated the "Tradition and Innovation" exhibition, also within the Italian Pavilion of the World Fair in Shanghai 2010, which then became a permanent location for the promotion of Italy’s image in China.

From 2011 to 2015 he was the artistic director of the Carnevale di Venezia, while from 2012 to 2015 he created and curated Pavilion Zero at Expo Milano 2015. His latest projects include the event dedicated to Made in Italy called Milano XL and the show titled Memory and Contemporaneity for the 57th Edition of the Venice Biennale.
