Michele Casadei Massari believes in the power of self-expression, in the importance of creativity, in the beauty of sensorial experiences, in the truth of science. A real renaissance man, Michele is a chef, entrepreneur, conceptual photographer, executive producer of books and music, public speaker, cinema consultant, t-shirt and sock designer and passionate teacher – just to mention a few of his vocations.
Born in 1975 in his beloved Riccione and raised in Bologna, Michele moved to New York in 2009, a city rich in opportunities where he settled. After training at the Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, he translated his endless skills to establish himself as one of the most sought-after executive chefs and consultants. Creative and expressive, pushed by an endless thirst for exploring and knowledge, Casadei Massari is a dedicated student of the world, a follower of dreams, and promoter of other Italian artistic talents.
As Executive Chef, each one of his personal passions is blended in a constant and visionary flow, in dedicated textures and brilliant colours that delight, charm, and inspire. After the experience at Piccolo Cafe came Lucciola, a real restaurant in which he focused on important ingredients like caviar, truffle, wagyu beef, lobster and most of all fine wines in large formats from Italy, guessing the desires of the public of the Upper East Side.
