These are only some of the most interesting “pairings” created for WE – Women for Expo within Bookcity, an event created in collaboration with Identità Golose, which Expo 2015 dedicates to women, starting from this morning at noon, at the Agorà designed by Michele De Lucchi, a dodecagonal pavilion installed inside the courtyard of Castello Sforzesco in Milan, a shape inspired by that of a barn. This place recalls an image of attention to the planet and of respectful use of resources, which is perfectly in line with the leitmotiv of the 2015 World Fair: “Nourish the Planet”.

Starting from today, each writer, actress, artist will tell us about their relationship with food and their gastronomic passions, in half an hour, with words, memories and recipes that recall childhood flavours. This will be a literary snack coordinated for a new alliance between food and culture, nourishment for the body and for the mind. Their stories will be collected in a public interview. Each of them will be able to present the audience with some memories of their families’ dishes and traditions but also some recipes for life. At the end of each interview, the audience will be able to taste the dish on which the talk was focused, experience the flavour recommended, evoked and cooked by the writer.

Save these dates: at Castello Sforzesco Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November, from 12.30 to 2.30 pm and from 5-30 to 7.30 pm. Free entrance. To view the detailed programme visit the Bookcity Milano website.
