Recently opened on Selfridges’ iconic rooftop, alto by San Carlo confirms its status as one of the capital’s finest new Italian restaurants by announcing a one-night takeover on 27th June by seven of Italy’s most renowned chefs.
Gathered together by the acclaimed Italian fine enogastronomic consortium Identità Golose, these talents, with no less than seven Michelin stars between them, will offer guests the opportunity to experience an unforgettable culinary journey through the most contemporary takes on Italy’s regional flavours and gastronomy. 
Against a backdrop of one of London’s most beautiful restaurants, the five-course 
Viaggio in Italia gastronomic extravaganza begins with 
Alessandro Negrini and Fabio Pisani of Milan’s two-Michelin starred 
Il Luogo di Aimo e Nadia - a restaurant which has pioneenerd the recent culinary revolution in Italy - before moving to Florence for a flavour renaissance with world-famous 
Annie Féolde and chef de cuisine 
Alessandro Della Tommasina fromthree-Michelin star 
Enoteca Pinchiorri. The third destination on the menu is Rome, with 
Cristina Bowerman's cuisine that shook up Rome’s culinary tradition earning her a Michelin star at 
Glass Hostaria. The dinner will then head south to 
La Taverna del Capitano to immerse guests into the iconic citrusy and sea fragrances of Neapolitan riviera, brought to life by the one Michelin-starred 
Alfonso Caputo. The final destination is Sicily, where Netflix’s 
Chef’s Tablepastry star 
Corrado Assenza of 
Caffè Sicilia brings the proceedings to a close with a dessert created out of his local flavoursome and sun-kissed produce.
The dinner will see this extraordinary brigade take up residency in alto's kitchen to showcase an exciting new approach to Italy’s cuisine with a menu which takes a radical step towards new culinary horizons. 
Following the journey from north to south, the menu features 
Apulian cicerchie legumes puree with Valsassina cheese, smoked herring & fig must; 
Risotto with prawns, veal nervetti & liquorice powder; 
Rigatoni stuffed with artichokes alla romana, vignarola, bottarga & anchovy caviar; 
Snapper in lemon leaves & smoked provola with toasted raisins and 
Double fiordilatte cream with Bronte pistachios, gin & wild thyme English custard cream.

Paolo Marchi and Claudio Ceroni, founders of Identità Golose. Identità Golose is a culinary organisation founded in 2004 by Italian food journalist Paolo Marchi and entrepreneur Claudio Ceroni, with a mission to promote the best of modern Italian cuisine, showcase regional culinary excellence and honour the leading Italian chefs worldwide. The first Identità Golose event was held in Milan in 2005 and it was soon followed by editions in London, New York, Chicago, Boston and Los Angeles
