Born in 1969 in Bologna, raised in the province, before using ice cream machines Maurizio Bernardini used to sell them. In 2004, however, he decided he wanted to change his career and one year later he opened his ice cream shop.

Galliera 49 is only 20 square metres large, what with the laboratory and the shop. It’s become a point of reference when it comes to healthy and easily digestible ice creams, made with fresh organic fruit, brown sugar, filtered water, milk from Alto Adige and kudzu, a Japanese plant that acts as a thickener and naturally protects the stomach. In this adventure, the support of friends and partners Jacopo Balerna, Fabio Nanetti and Valerio Alfani was crucial.

A dream team that every year closes shop for 4 months and travels around Italy and the world in search for the best products and producers. Don’t miss the Pistacchio e Siciliaflavour, with almonds, pistachios and candied lemon. Not to mention the iconic granitas with fresh fruit.
