With a homely decor inspired by the Fifties and Sixties, this bistro is among the most pleasant novelties in Milan, and thus in the list of the 14 restaurants in Identità Milano’s Fuoricongresso in the “Nuovi volti a Milano” section

There’s a big innovation, this year, among the Fuori Congresso restaurants. In the 2013 edition, in fact, we have “Nuovi volti a Milano” (New Faces in Milan): 14 restaurants – more or less – recently opened, guided by young chefs and patrons with lots of creativity and the desire to leave a significant mark in Milan’s food scene. There are passionate chefs and pastry-chefs who, at the magnificent sound of “let’s use mother yeast”, pull out of the oven unforgettable cakes and breads (Pavè “Soggiorno con laboratorio di pasticceria” A sitting room with pastry-workshop; Pastamadre) on top of the other delicious offers for lunch and dinner. In fact, a new trend is spreading, that of offering a restaurant next to a workshop: this is also the case of Buongusto, born as an artisanal workshop of fresh egg-pasta and recently also a restaurant, and Cristianmagri in Settimo Milanese, both restaurant and pastry-shop.

Initially Baita del Formaggio, was a shop where you could buy many types of cheese and quality wine and food products, but it has now widened its offer to include sandwiches prepared right on the spot, other dishes and wines by the glass.. Al Mercato, born thanks to the passion of two young chefs for high cuisine, has a double role: the more refined, restaurant one, and the burger bar for a quick meal, where you can taste street food from various corners of the world, in preparations the chefs have modified and made personal. Blu is a cosy, young and well-finished place where you can spend the various moments of the day enjoying the quality of the food and wines offered.

Aromando Bistrot appears like the dining room cum sitting room of a house decorated with furniture from the Fifties and Sixties and is focused on traditional flavours and selected products of the highest quality in a lovely location that couldn’t be more cosy and homely. Enocratia, is the place where passion for wine and food meet to propose unique wine and food experiences: “Moving and being moved with wine and food”, the subtitle of the restaurant, announces the happy direction that a visit to this place may take. Pisacco is a modern bistro, elegantly decorated, with carefully selected dishes and wine; it is an ideal place for meals or for a fine aperitif or after dinner.

Del Vuoto, Modern bistrò is an original idea where a young chef, starting from traditional cuisine, experiments new and contemporary creations full of emotions. Also following the theme of emotions, Charlie 1983 in Albairate reveals: “Our philosophy is cooking with mind and spirit.” The strong points are: quality of raw materials, creativity and taste for the well-being and the enjoyment of soul and palate.

Il Refettorio expresses its essence in its subtitle, namely “simplicitas”: here you can taste food of the best origin, with simple dishes, in a minimalistic and welcoming environment. Un Posto a Milano, a restaurant in Cascina Cuccagna, is ideal when you can enjoy the outdoor space, something which doesn’t happen too often in the Lombard capital, and is always cosy and offers dishes that can satisfy the palate of many, paying attention to taste and quality.

Here are the menus each restaurant is offering. Click and find out!
