Having archived the 2009 and 2010 editions, in 2011 Identità London changes location and moves to the Town Hall Hotel and Apartments in Shoreditch, in the East End. The basic philosophy does not change, that is setting a stage for 6 important Italian chefs, 6 of the greatest interpreters of the peninsula’s genius: Massimo Bottura, Antonino Cannavacciuolo, Paolo Lopriore, Davide Oldani, Davide Scabin and Ciccio Sultano who will interact with the chef of the house, the Portuguese Nuno Mendes. «An Italian platoon», Paolo Marchi, curator of Identità London, explains «to stress the extreme gastronomic range in a country that over the last decades has revelled in the success of certain masterpieces such as pasta and pizza, tiramisù and risotto, espresso coffee and panettone without ever updating them. These chefs are precious and winning testimonials of ideas, emotions and proposals that totally belong to our traditions». The event takes place during a whole day, Tuesday October 18th.
