While you read these words, the staff of Identità is flying to the United States: Chicago (7-8 October), New York (10-12 October) and a debut in Boston (13 October).
«The debut in the capital of Massachusetts», says Paolo Marchi, «thrills us because it’s the most European of American cities. It reminds me of the American Cup, the Kennedys. Utmost elegance. We will celebrate it with a dinner that will bring together Italian and Bostonian important chefs. We’ll try to stress the high quality of Italian ingredients and of our sense of hospitality».
The “Great Italy at the Table” dinner will be prepared by Caterina Ceraudo (Dattilo, Strongoli), best female chef for Michelin Italia 2017), farmer-chef Chris Fischer (Bettlebung Farm, Chilmark), Michele Carter, executive chef at Barbara Lynch Gruppo and Michael Schlow (Doretta Tavern, Boston). The dinner costs 150 dollars, tickets can be bought online.
Once again Eataly will host the event. In this case, it will be the store opened by Farinetti’s corporation inside Prudential Center, in Back Bay, on November 29th 2017. It’s the fourth opened in the United States after Eataly Flatiron and Downtown in New York and Eataly Chicago.

Restaurant Pesce inside Eataly Boston, Prudential Center, 800 Boylston Street
Eataly Boston is 4,000 square metres wide, spread over 3 floors. Dedicated to the theme of the sea and its products, it offers a rich repertoire of images dedicated to the New England fishermen community, describing the different varieties of local fish.
But more than images, of course, there are raw materials: the highlight here is indeed the “fish of the day”, chosen daily for restaurant
Pesce following strict rules of seasonality and sustainability set by
Barbara Lynch. The chef who started from Southie, the pour and infamous neighbourhood in South Boston ruled by bloodthirsty Irish boss
James “
Whitey” Burger, now runs 7 restaurants in town (No 9 Park,
B&G Oysters,
The Butcher Shop,
Stir,
Drink,
Sportello and
Menton).
